FAQ
- What if it rains?
- If rain is likely, we will
cancel the booking. If the forecast is less certain, we will make
a final discernment the day of the party. While it's true that rain can
damage the equipment, the primary concern is safety for the kids.
Wet/Slippery surfaces will increase the odds of injury. The
good news is Inflate-A-Koll does not require a deposit like most other
amusement rental companies. If we have to cancel due to weather,
you don't pay a dime.
- What if it's windy out?
- We setup the bounce houses per
the manfacturer's explicit safety instructions, requiring the house to
be secured with heavy-duty steel stakes. However, wind can be
extremely powerful and unpredictable (we live in the Windy City, after
all). The industry standard: if the wind is gusting at 20 mph or
more, no one should be allowed in the bounce house and it should be
deflated until the winds abate. Again, safety first. If it seems
very windy (swaying trees are a telling sign to look for), the bounce
house should not be used.
- How big are the bounce houses?
- Both of our current bounce
houses are 15x15 feet. For safe supervision, you should allow
5-10 feet of extra space in every direction, beyond the size of the
actual bounce house. Don't forget to account for the height of
the bounce houses (around 20-25 feet). Keep an eye out for trees
and wires that may interfere when the bounce house is fully inflated.
- How many kids can bounce at one time?
- This answer will depend on the
size of the kids. If your bouncers are all in the toddler/Pre-K
range (2-5 years old), the bounce house can safely be used by up to
6-10 children. All children should be supervised at all times
while using the bounce houses.
- Can we set up the bounces on a slope? In the street?
- The flatter the surface, the
more secure the bounce house will be. If your yard has an extreme
slope, we should schedule an inspection prior to the day of the party
to ensure the area is suitable. We can set up the bounce houses
in the street, using sandbags at the anchor points or by extending the
stake tethers to reach the grass, depending on the width of the street.
- What time do you setup and teardown?
- We like to setup early, so you
can focus on enjoying your party. We will return to teardown the
equipment before sunset. If you have any special time
restrictions, please make us aware of them and we will work with you.
- What if someone gets hurt?
- Please attend to the injured
user first and ensure they receive proper medical attention, as needed.
The bounce houses are 100% use-at-your-own-risk. The
Inflate-A-Koll rental agreement explicitly states that Inflate-A-Koll
is not responsible for any injuries or adverse consequences incurred by
using our equipment. It is your responsibility to ensure the
equipment is used safely. You will hold Inflate-A-Koll completely
harmless in the unfortunate event of an injury sustained while using
our equipment.
