2024-2025: Week 18 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Yellow vs. Team Red

- Yellow vs Green: With a first-round BYE on the line, this game had the increased intensity you love to see in a late-season HatchetBall game. Even better, strategy seemed to rule the day, as both teams attempted to exploit their advantages. Team Yellow was cruising along nicely when some three-point variance reared its ugly head. Team Red hit 4 or 5 threes in a row while Yellow missed a similar amount of wide open opportunities. The score swung from a double-digit advantage to a deficit with no team to flip it back the other way. It would be fitting for these teams to meet again in the playoffs, as it likely would be another worthy showdown.

Game 2: Team Pink vs. Team Orange

- Another inexplicable late-game gaffe, once again put a winnable game in jeopardy for Team Pink. This one was even more of a shame, as it took some heroic shooting from Paul to get them back in the game after being comfortably behind for most of the contest. All that went to waste after Team Pink officially took the lead by two, but intentionally fouled Chris and let him tie the game at the line and send it into overtime. They got away with it last week, but weren’t so lucky this time, as Orange got back on track and cruised to the OT win. Another ballpunch for Team Pink as they turn towards the playoffs.

Game 3: - Team Blue vs. Team White

- White showed up with an entire three players to close out their pathetic season. Good riddance to another shitty Rob-led team.
