2024-2025: Week 15 Player Reports
Game 1: Team Yellow
vs. Team Green
- Yellow vs Green: Mark’s teams always seem to have excellent attendance, which is an underrated element of your team that you can fully control. The most obvious byproduct of this is avoiding understaffed games that lead to losses you could have otherwise avoided. Konrad and Foster, the battery of Team Yellow, hadn’t missed a game all season before this one. Coincidentally, they both sat this one out together and it led to a blitzkrieg by Team Green. Yellow scored plenty, typical of the famous Green defense, but were leaking on every play, amassing a huge 91 points. Not too much intensity in this one, as it was clear where things were headed pretty early on. Painful loss for Team Yellow in regards to playoff implications. Huge win for Team Green to stay in the hunt in general.
Game 2: Team Purple
vs. Team Orange
- There continues to be a lack of firepower for Team Purple that will ultimately cut their season short. If only they had a gangly, athletic freak available who could score from all over the court and lead the fast break, putting constant pressure on the defense. Man for man, there isn’t much difference between these two teams. But there is a skill and talent gap that left Purple unable to keep up with the shotmaking of Soczeks and Company. It’s not for lack of effort, but Purple is spiraling.
Game 3: - Team Blue
vs. Team Red
- Likely the two grittiest teams in the league from top to bottom, this was a banger’s paradise. It’s hard to keep your composure when the game gets a bit out of hand, trust me I know. But this was an early temperature check for what the playoffs are almost certainly going to feel like. If you go to the basket, expect contact. Most of the time, don’t expect a call. Red was able to roll with the punches and get some key buckets down the stretch that allowed them to hang on. Blue seemed continually exasperated by the lack of calls and might have lost focus. This would be a great matchup in the playoffs, when the whistle is a bit tighter. The question will continue to be if Blue can muster enough points, but their effort will certainly keep them in it.
