2024-2025: Week 12 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Orange vs. Team Red

-Team Red continues to be a unique team that can look different from week to week. They looked particularly exposed in this one, as the wing-heavy Orange had no problem keeping up with their young guards. TJ Kennedy has single-handedly removed the issue of lack of size for Red, but when you are forced to put him on a perimeter player, it changes the nature of your defense. At that point, everyone is on their own. There’s no helpside coming to save you. An impressive win from Orange with just about everyone contributing.

Game 2: Team Green vs. Team White

-In a breakout game for rookie Matt McGuire, it felt like Green was in control of this one down the stretch. However, due to some bad free throw shooting and some poor decision making, they faltered down the stretch and lost in overtime. Mike Finley is starting to show his strengths as a down-hill bucket getter that draws a ton of fouls. Green just couldn’t deal with him down the stretch and they were able to get it done in OT for a critical win that may spell the doom of Team Green.

Game 3: - Team Yellow vs. Team Pink

-In what was bound to be a high-scoring matchup, all the boys came out to play in this one. Yellow had 5 players score at least 14 points. Pink had 4 players of their own in double digits. Both of these teams are vulnerable defensively, in different ways. Both of these teams are also adept at exploiting offensive mismatches. We saw a little bit of everything, but Yellow’s supreme balance won out in the end and they secured the win.
