2022-2023: Week 8 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Green vs. Team Orange

-This game will forever be known as the debut of Pancho. Not that Green needed much in coasting to an easy win. Richie Konopko had his best game of the season while Chuck had his worst. Orange might not be as bad as their record suggests, but they do themselves no favors.

Game 2: Team Black vs. Team White

-Steve’s abrasive personality makes everything seem worse than it probably is. But, my god, it feels like Black is just the slowest, laziest team to ever play in our hallowed league. They might be the clearest example yet of how important it is to like playing with your teammates. These guys openly despise one another. It’s hard to see how they can put that aside for 40 minutes of good basketball. White continues to have the best timing this season in terms of who they play and when they play them. They run their record to 4-2 with a -26 point differential. Wow. When will this team be exposed?

Game 3: - Team Blue vs. Team Purple

-Continuing their legendary turnaround since acquiring Konrad, Blue won by a wide margin yet again. After losing their first two games of the season, they’ve now rattled off 4 wins in a row by a combined differential of +122. That’s fucking insane. That’s over 30 ppg MARGIN OF VICTORY on average over a four game stretch. What in the fuck? We’ll see if anyone, including Team Pink, can slow them down in the coming weeks. Jerry is losing his patience for the inconsistent Team Purple. They played best without him, which is amongst many troubling factors for this team. They might lose out the way they’re playing right now, but even then, they still might make the playoffs because Orange and Black suck so badly.
