2022-2023: Week 15 Player Reports
Game 1: Team Orange
vs. Team Black
-In a year of letdowns for both of these squads, we shouldn’t have been surprised that Orange would disappoint one last time. They couldn’t even get their guys to the game in a pivotal, must-win game. Black took control early and Orange never really made a run. It’ll be a long off-season for both of these teams as they try to forget the utter misery they both endured on the way to double-digit losses on the season.
Game 2: Team Pink vs.
Team White
-Pink continues their preference for close games by squeaking out a victory against the depleted Team White. Part of the story here is that teams often play down to their competition. It’s hard to get going when you are expected to win by a bunch. The other part of the story is White had an incredible team effort. Rob had the shooting game of his life, while the rest of their squad all contributed with timely buckets. Pink could never extend the lead and allowed White to hang around. After a slew of missed free throws by Pink, Rob was mauled on a three point attempt to win the game that wasn’t called. White had a lot go right to even get to that spot, but a bad call is a bad call. Much like the call that went in their favor earlier in the season that got them a win against Team Orange and, in the end, kept Orange out of the playoffs. White will finish their season against Yellow in Week 16, with seeding implications on the line.
Game 3: - Team Yellow
vs. Team Purple
-Purple becomes the first team ever to forfeit a game and secure their playoff spot in the same night. Wild shit.
