2022-2023: Week 14 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Orange vs. Team Green

-After going scorched earth for a few weeks, Team Green was held in check by the hungry Team Orange. However, it still wasn’t enough and Green escaped with the win, which will keep them in contention for the 2 seed and also keep Orange at arm’s length from the playoffs.

Game 2: Team Yellow vs. Team Blue

-Both teams were understaffed for this one, but most of the key players were present. Justin and Jones offset each other to a degree, and Joe Vascik was the difference maker with a highly efficient 20 points. Blue won comfortably after some back and forth. Yellow retains an outside shot at a higher seed, but they need things to break in their favor. Blue just needs to beat Green and they get the other BYE.

Game 3: - Team Pink vs. Team Black

-When you get an unexpectedly close game, you can often look to one team playing worse, one team playing better, or rethinking your analysis of the teams in the first place. Pink was never going to be an offensive juggernaut that could overpower teams and run up the score. And they haven’t been. So the fact that they’ve found themselves in some close games shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Black has underperformed all year, but it also shouldn’t be totally shocking when they play a bit better and stay in the game. Black should have won this game, but made some critical errors down the stretch that let Pink escape with a double overtime win. Black officially eliminated from the playoffs. Rest in Piss.
