2021-2022: Week 14 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Orange vs. Team Green

-In the showdown of the season, the teams did not disappoint. Rob had his best shooting game of the season and he had timely contributions from the rest of the team. However, Team Orange utilized huge scoring games from Brett and Bob Kelly to get the job done and beat Green in a thriller. Mark didn’t score much and thankfully didn’t need to. This game spelled the end for Team Green, whose season was doomed from the start.

Game 2: Team Yellow vs. Team Blue

-With their season rejuvenated by an unlikely two-game win streak, Team Yellow suddenly had a very realistic chance to make the playoffs. In fact, they were the only team that controlled their own destiny entirely. If they somehow won out, they were guaranteed to make the playoffs. But instead of going down that road, they gave up a league record 105 points and were thoroughly embarrassed in this one. So much for controlling their own destiny. They are now stuck relying on a plethora of things to go their way. Which they won’t.

Game 3: - Team Red vs. Team Black

-Apparently the random dart Team Black throws each week to decide if they should play well or not hit on “Effort” this week and they were able to get this game done in overtime. Team Red, yet again, gave a tremendous effort, as they always do. It was quite a feat just to get this one to overtime. But Team Black is far deeper than Red and leaned out that advantage to outlast Red and secure their spot in the playoffs. Red will need to win against Team White next week to have any shot at the playoff BYE.
