2021-2022: Week 10 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Orange vs. Team Red

-Apparently Team Orange is refusing to make this easy on themselves.  Once again playing without Brett, they fell to Team Red for the second time this season in a game that was close for 40 minutes.  Team Red will continue to be a matchup problem for anyone who can’t stop dribble penetration.  Team Orange probably needed Brett’s defense more than his offense in this one.  Team Red is in a great position regardless of how the rest of the season plays out for them.  It’s hard to say what their ceiling is, but they continue to win.  Team Orange will get a BYE week before a must win against Team Yellow in Week 12.

Game 2: Team Yellow vs. Team Black

-Continuing his storied history of wildly up and down play, Team Steve fell to the lowly Team Yellow after leading for most of the game.  Other than Declan, Team Black looks incredibly old and crotchety.  When pressed against the wall, they don’t seem to fight back, which is a sign of an aging squad running on fumes.  Team Yellow made shots down the stretch and proved once again that every game is within reach for every team.  You only need a few things to go your way and you can beat anyone.  There is that much parity in the league this year.  The question for each team is how they will handle when things aren’t going their way and what they’re willing to do to get the job done.  Big win for Team Yellow to keep their season alive.

Game 3: - Team Blue vs. Team White

-After racing out to a 3-1 record, it’s been all downhill for Team White.  They’ve racked up 3 consecutive losses, all by double-digits.  They went from a +25 point differential to a -35 point differential in just 3 games.  It’s crazy how impotent they look.  Justin looks limited, perhaps due to injury, and they literally have no options to make up the slack.  Perhaps Jerry was just looking to make things interesting, but they’ve placed themselves right in the muck of the playoff bubble.  Team Blue rebounded well from their loss in the previous week and seem like a heavy favorite to secure of the playoff BYEs.
