2019-2020: Week 6 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Blue (Matt Koll) vs. Team Red (Steve)

-In the most entertaining game of the night, the resurgent Team Blue escaped with a narrow 81-80 victory over the recently competent Team Red.  Team Blue got another big performance from Bill Maloney with 24 points, while Ali (19) and Steigerwald’s crush Dave Wills (22) supplied the extra scoring needed to secure the victory.  Matt Koll’s roster lacks zazz, but they are 3-2 and working on a 2-Game win streak heading into a tough one against the first-place Team Green in Week 7.  Team Red was paced by Big Chuck’s 36 points in a losing effort.

Game 2: Team Black (Matt V) vs. Team Green (Troy)

-The varied records thus far demonstrate the parity of this year’s league.  Rolling into Week 7, every team has at least 2 wins.  It’s pretty incredible, considering the uncertainties during this year’s player draft.  Matchups reign supreme when the games are close.  Team Black appears to be a HORRIBLE matchup with Team Green.  They couldn’t generate any good looks on their way to a season-low 49 points.  Worse yet, their team leader suffered a penis injury once the game was safely out of reach (how convenient) and may be out of pocket for a few weeks.  Their team will get utterly destroyed without Rob, so he better hurry back.  The good news is Team Black is on BYE in Week 8, so it’s possible Rob will miss only one game.  Team Green looked back to form after having a collective stroke in their loss to Team White.  All four starters were in double-digits…even Luke.

Game 3: - Team White (Freddy) vs. Team Gold (Kelly)

-After the upset of the season in Week 5, Team White laid an egg on their way to a league-low 43 points in this pathetic shit-show.  Team Gold basically got a BYE, paced by Bob Kelly’s 23 points.  Stegierwald may need to admit how much he needs Bradley to stay competitive.  Team White is all alone at the bottom with 4 losses.  They have a BYE in Week 7, before the second half of the season begins and the playoff picture starts to take form.  If they’re still whining a month from now, consider them the top candidate to miss the playoffs.
