2017-2018: Week 16 Player Reports

Game 1: Team Spadoni (Grey) vs. Team Bo (Orange)

-Spadoni forfeit this game. Thank God Bo won a game in Week 15, otherwise it would have been a fucking tragedy that they avoided a winless season with a forfeit.

Game 2: Team Brennan (Green) vs. Team Konrath (Dark Blue)

-In a critical game, both teams showed up short-handed and fought an ugly, low-scoring bout with the last playoff spot hanging in the balance. Team Green fell into their tact from the first half of the season, doing everything they could down the stretch to ensure they don’t win the game. Team Konrath was steady and had a balanced attack. Steigerwald chipped in 23 on limited attempts and Luke drained 5 three balls. Kenny Konrath himself, team captain, was the true hero, summoning the scrappy days of old by stealing rebound after rebound in the second half of the second half, crushing Team Green’s spirit time and time again. If Team Green is going to play like this, there’s no reason to make the playoffs, as they won’t beat anyone anyway. That being said, expect a far different effort level in the rematch of this game next week, in a sudden death wildcard game to see who makes the playoffs and who watches from the stands.

Game 3: - Team Garmes (Red) vs. Team Vito (Blue)

-In a huge offensive orgy, Team Blue took this game with an improbable clutch shot from a drunk and washed-out Steve Dudek. The final score was 97-96. That’s really all you need to know. The shot might turn out to be a huge advantage for the title hopes of Team Vito, as it secured a first-round BYE for a team with clear substance abuse problems.
