2016-2017: Week 2 Player Reports
9:00 - Team Bo (Yellow)
vs. Team Matt V (Green)
-Looks like another long year for Steigerwald. Drafting is all about balancing out the strengths and weaknesses of your team. But the strengths and weaknesses of your star are the priority. For example, legendary nut smasher Mark Koll isn’t a premier defender because he’s weighed down by the two-ton steel rod he carries around in his shorts. Therefore, you want to draft strong, athletic defenders to cover him. Steigerwald is a pure shooter, but he’s not the fastest guy in the league. So you can’t surround him with other slowpokes and expect to keep up with the more mobile teams in the league. Team Yellow probably had more talent across the board compared to Matt V’s squad, but they were simply overwhelmed with activity. This one really wasn’t that close for most of the game. Matt V will look to create another contender with a whole new cast of characters. Good luck you sack of dogshit.
10:00 - Team Beave
(Grey) vs. Team Guinane
(Light Blue)
-Oooooooooweeeeee!!!! Revenge is certainly sweet. But the karma-induced punishment laid upon the noggin of league villain Steve Dudek is as sweet as it gets. I hope he doesn’t win a game all year and quits the league. That would mean Troy would endure another year of garbage ball, but so be it. By the way, keep your eye on Troy for back-to-back Most Improved Player awards, which is a pretty tough task. I can guarantee at the end of the season, regardless of where Team Grey ends up, they will REALLY regret this loss. Team Light Blue will probably not even make the playoffs. They’re that bad.
11:00 - Team Tierney
(Dark Blue) vs. Team Vito (Orange)
-Tierney’s Turds put up another shitshow and trailed by 40 points for most of this one. Rob (20, 16, 6) and Jerry (12, 7, 8) cashed in with some nice statistical games, but there wasn’t much to see in this game other than a glorious bank shot by the one and only Patrick “MurderPuss” Ashe.
