2016-2017: Week 13 Player Reports
9:00 - Team Matt V
(Green) vs. Team Brennan (Red)
-Green bounced back from their historic loss in Week 12 by beating the hot Team Red. Matt V had a classic game of 9 points and 3 rebounds with three 3-Pointers. Exceptional. At this point, Team Green and Team Orange have pretty much locked up the top two seeds and the first-round BYEs. The rest of the teams are packed pretty tightly together in terms of record, so the rest of the seeds are definitely up in the air.
10:00 - Team Vito
(Orange) vs. Team Guinane (Light Blue)
-Orange took care of business in this one as Light Blue showed less effort than usual en route to their fifth loss in a row. While Team Blue feels is certainly feeling down after starting the season 5-0 only to drop 4 of their last 5, their position mostly remains unchanged in the standings, which is mostly due to the other teams playing so inconsistently. The big matchup between Team Orange and Green in Week 13 is mostly meaningless.
11:00 - Team Tierney
(Dark Blue) vs. Team Garmes (Blue)
-With Matt Koll sidelined due to a severe case of cavernous snatch syndrome, Team Blue ran out of gas with a limited roster against the feisty Team Tierney. Mark tried to shot them to a narrow victory, totaling 38 points, but the combination of exhaustion and missed layups from Luke allowed another game to slip away from Team Blue. But as detailed above, the loss really won’t mean anything in the overall scheme. If Blue takes care of business in their last two games against Team Grey and Team Yellow, they’ll finish 8-4 and lockup the #3 seed, which seemed like where they were going to end up anyway. So the only real question for this team is who they’ll play in the first round. However, without their key players and a few subs, it might not matter. Matt Koll needs to grow up and show up.
