Week Six Player Reports

Mark Koll: Mark had a nice bounce back game in Week Six.  He hit 7 threes on the way to a game high 26 points.  Light Green barely put up a fight and Dark Blue cruised to a 20 point victory.  At this point, I'm not sure which of these teams is more unclear.  Both are 3-2, but it's hard to say where either of these teams will end up.

What's Next: After a BYE week, Dark Blue will look for a statement game against Dark Green in Week Eight.

Matt Koll: Matt Koll spent most of the previous evening boozing, but so did the rest of HatchetBall.  Matt and his bash brother Jerry came up ridiculously flat and stunk up the gym for the entire 40 minutes.  Light Green has lost both games it has played without their leading scorer, Kyle Whirty.

What's Next: Matt Koll & Company get a BYE week and then a favorable matchup against Team Tierney in Week Eight.

Jerry Hahn: DNP in Week Six.  Well, he was there.  He just didn't play very well.

What's Next: Jerry will look to put together a better effort in Week Eight against a very beatable Team Yellow.

Dave Troy: Troy put together a much more well-rounded game in Week Six, finishing with 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists.  There wasn't much competition, but it's important for Troy to stay active and involved during long stretches of the game.  He's probably the second or third scoring option on this squad, but he also has to play defense and rebound like he did in Week Six if Dark Blue is going to string some wins together and secure a high playoff seed.

What's Next: Troy and Dark Blue will take a week off before a difficult test in Week Eight against Team Lumberjack.

Mike Davis: Mike continues to obliterate the glass, snatching up every poor, innocent rebound in his way.  Impressively, he also added 8 assists and 5 blocks to his stockpile of 18 rebounds.  However, with only 8 points, you figure there's still more Mike can do to help his team.  His effort was enough to lead his team to victory in Week Six, but we're fast finding out that Team Yellow may be the cellar-dweller this season, so it's unclear what this win is worth.  It does stop a three game skid for Light Blue though, so it's still a huge step in the right direction.

What's Next: Light Blue will look to make it back to back wins in Week Seven against Team Hobe Nation.

Paul Hobe: Paul chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks in Dark Green's Week Six loss to Team Grey.  That's a solid effort from a tattooed gentleman.

What's Next: Dark Green will look to push their record past .500 against Team Light Blue in Week Seven.

Mark Vitaliano: Mark played well in Week Six, topping 20 points for the second time this season.  Unsurprisingly, Light Blue has won both of these games (their only wins).  The formula is clear: if Mark V scores, they win.  So...score.

What's Next: Light Blue looks to make it two in a row against Team Dark Green in Week Seven.
