Week Nine Player Reports
Mark Koll: It's become
obvious that this
season will be a struggle for Mark. His
team is unreliable in a lot of ways.
First, they don't seem to think it necessary to show up to the
game each
week, which is something he can't control in the slightest. Second, his teammates all seem hell bent on
playing their own style of basketball.
There's little to no cohesion night in, night out.
Which is a shame because,
when they are clicking, Team Grey can be a force.
Inconsistency has been their biggest
downfall. The easiest example of this is
that they've traded wins and losses the entire season long. So far, they don't have a single two-game win
streak. But they also don't have a
two-game losing streak. Week Nine was a
microcosm of their entire season. In the
first half, they played poorly, playing down to a very beatable
opponent. But then they got things going
in the second
half and won by a decent margin. It's
hard to anticipate what you're going to get out of Team Grey, which
makes them
a bit of a wild card contender, but almost guarantees more frustrating
times
ahead for Mark. He did his part in Week
Nine with 24 points and 9 rebounds, but most of his production comes
from
self-starter plays. If he wants to
return to the monstrous production of years past, he'll need to find a
way to
integrate with his team a little better in the half-court set.
What's Next: Week
Ten brings a "favorable" match-up against Team Green.
In Week One, Mark torched Team Green for 36
points.

Rob Knapczyk: Rob finally had what you might consider a bad shooting performance in Week Nine against the hapless Team Brown. He finished with a season-low 1 three-point basket. However, like all good players, he worked himself into the game in other ways and ended with one of his best stat lines of the season: 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists. Granted, many of those rebounds and assists were inconsequential, but a stat is a stat at the end of the day. And when you come within two assists of a triple-double, that's a good night by anyone's standards.
What's Next: Rob
will look to get his stroke working again in Week Ten against the
small-ball
lineup of Team Orange.

Luke A: Apparently Luke has given up on scoring
altogether. He put up another stinker in
Week Nine,
finishing with just 6 points. But, yet
again, he was able to placate himself by swatting three opponent's
shots. He's run his season total up to an
astounding
20 blocked shots, and we're just barely into the second half. This is approaching Bol
territory.
What's Next: Luke will likely have plenty more opportunities for rejections against the puny Team Orange in Week Ten.

Jerry Hahn: After being frustrated offensively early on,
Jerry was
in prime form in Week Nine as he helped secure the win over Team Green. In the process, Team Orange ran their record
to 5-2. Right now, they are alone in
second place. While Yellow has earned
the right to the top spot,
What's Next: Jerry
was a DNP in Week One against Team Yellow. In Week Ten, he'll get his chance to rewrite
history.

Dave Troy: Mark up another
loss for Team Green in Week Nine. They
showed a little more spunk this time around, keeping things interesting
until
late in the second half, but they lack the muster to keep things going.
What's Next: Team
Green will be up against it again in Week Ten when they square off with
the 4-3
Team Grey.
