Week Fifteen Player Reports

Mark Koll: While Mark was in Vegas gambling away the money for his wedding his team had a tough match-up against the defensive powerhouse Orange.  Grey kept it close for the first half trailing by only 4 at half time, but without Mark around to lead the offense in the second half Grey stalled and all the yelling from their captain, Beave, wasn’t going to get Grey a win in this game.  Luckily for Grey Mark won’t miss another game but if they can’t play team basketball in the playoffs it might be One-and-Done for Mark this year.

           

            What's Next: Depending on what happens in the 8:15 Game Grey could be playing for a playoff seed.  If Baby Blue Beats Orange, Grey will have to beat Brown to retain the 5 seed, IF Baby Blue loses at 8:15 this game will mean nothing.

Matt Koll: Dark Blue showed up for their matchup against Green.  Green did not show up, literally.  Dark Blue won their final game by forfeit, no stats were accumulated.

 

            What's Next: Dark Blue has a BYE in Week 16 and thanks to Baby Blue locked up the 3 seed via their Week 10 win over Red.

Matt Vitaliano: Team Yellow was idle in Week 15 but Matt V played in a pick-up game for Green.  Let’s hope the stank from Green doesn’t rub off on Matt V for Yellow’s playoff run.

 

            What's Next: Yellow plays Red in Week 15 and could be playing for the #1 overall seed.  If Orange loses to Baby Blue all Yellow would have to do is beat Red to recapture the #1 seed going into the playoffs.  If Orange wins this game means nothing to Yellow having already secure the 2 seed and first round bye.

Rob Knapczyk: Rob had ACL surgery week 15 and everything went well.

 

            What's Next: A long rehab with hopes of not playing like Danaher next year in Hatchetball.

Luke A: Luke traveled to Vegas on Yellow’s bye week; let’s hope he recovers in time to lead Yellow to a victory in Week 16.

Jerry Hahn: In a Hatchetball first Jerry was the only player to actually play a game this week.  His Orange team came out flat and let Grey hang around in the first half.  In the second half Orange turned up their defensive pressure and pulled away to win by 15 points.  Jerry didn’t need to do much in this game and actually spent a lot of the game on the sideline letting some of the lesser players get some PT knowing that in the playoffs these players won’t be getting off the bench very much.  

 

            What's Next: A win against Baby Blue locks up the top spot for the regular season.

Dave Troy:  Well at least Troy showed up for the last game of the season for Green.  He didn’t get the phone call from his homeless leader telling his players to not show up.  Troy put up good stats this year but I’m sure he would trade all those stats to be on a playoff team.   Well at least Troy met the Godfather for his next child, George Terrell.

           

            What's Next: A sigh of relief from Hatchetball fans everywhere knowing we never have to watch this team play again.

Mike Steigerwald: Mike was a no show in Week 15 and it cost his team at a chance at the 2 seed going into the playoffs.  Red struggled to score and Baby Blue took advantage of their horrible defense to pull off the easy win.

 

            What's Next: Red is locked into the 4 seed but have a chance to play spoiler if Yellow ends up playing for the 1 seed.
